Is the MLB lockout just about the money? Will owners and athletes reach an agreement before Jackie Robinson Day, April 15, or is a shorter season on the horizon? The fans are the ones losing, as they’re being priced out of the games, with tickets and concessions going ever higher. What about reduced game prices once a month so everyone can afford the opportunity to see their favorite teams without going broke?

These are dark days for the Lakers, and they need to win 14 of their next 20 games. The race for the NBA title is wide open with six teams leading the contention – can the Lakers break into that group? Will new arrival DJ Augustin be able to save them?

Coach K (Mike Krzyzewski) of Duke University is retiring after over 40 years and with the most wins ever of any college coach. However, UCLA’s John Wooden had an 88-game winning streak, a 38-NCAA tournament game winning streak, and five titles in his 40 years as a coach. Who should be considered the best of all time?

UCLA plays USC on Saturday, and the winner finishes second in the Pac-12, with both teams going to the big tournament. Mick Cronin has never beaten Andy Enfield, but is UCLA starting to look good at the right time? The NCAA tournament starts in two weeks, and at this point, the oddsmakers have UCLA at 15-1 to win it all with USC at 50-1. Does either team have a fighting chance when the favorite is Gonzaga, at 5-1?

The Rams won’t be sending anyone to the Combine, where NFL management meets the newest recruits. Are they resting on their Super Bowl laurels, or are there extenuating circumstances keeping them away? Shouldn’t they be seeing what upcoming talent is out there, even if they don’t have a draft pick in the first three rounds?
