Retired Judge Joe Hilberman, one of the most highly regarded mediators and arbitrators in the field, is known for his deep knowledge of the mediation process, as well as being creative and insightful. Judge Joe Hilberman served on the Los Angeles Superior Court from 2002 through 2009, following a 27-year career in civil litigation. Judge Hilberman is currently a full-time mediator, arbitrator, and discovery referee with ADR Services, Inc., handling personal injury, employment, professional liability, business, real estate, homeowners’ association, and related disputes.

Judge Hilberman was named “Jurist of the Year” by the Los Angeles Chapter of ABOTA in 2008 and has been consistently recognized by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of the “25 Best Mediators” in Southern California. His articles have appeared in publications of the Los Angeles Bar Association, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. He is also a frequent lecturer on topics of mediation and litigation.

A graduate of UCLA and the UCLA School of Law, Judge Hilberman served as President of the UCLA School of Law Alumni Association and on the board of directors of the UCLA Alumni Association.
