It’s down to the final four teams in the NFL, with the Baltimore Ravens a three-point favorite at home against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC playoffs and the San Francisco 49ers vs the Detroit Lions in the NFC game at Levi Stadium. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have been bulldozing teams at home, but Patrick Mahomes has had better support from his receivers lately, so it’s a toss-up as to who has the advantage. Is the NFL counting on the Taylor Swift effect to help send the Chiefs to the big game?

San Francisco is the touchdown favorite at home, and a lot depends on how healthy Deebo Samuel is. He’s been participating in limited practices with his shoulder injury, and many wonder if he will be well enough to play in the NFC game. If he plays and the 49ers win, how will the coaching staff keep him in fighting trim for the Super Bowl?

The UCLA Bruins were up 19 points against the Wildcats of Arizona in Tucson and lost the game due to a technical foul against Mick Cronin. The foul allowed the Wildcats to tie the game and go ahead for the win. Did he set a bad example by letting his temper get the better of him, which changed the pace and outcome of the game? Does he have double standards for his own actions that are opposite of what he expects from his players? Would Luke Walton, assistant coach to Doc Rivers, the new coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, be a better fit for UCLA?

Mike Vrabel, former Tennessee Titans coach, is one of three candidates being considered for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders coaching jobs. Was he let go from the Titans as a result of his telling the owner that the team would not be any stronger in the coming season unless more money was spent to attract stronger players? Which spot is a more likely landing place for him, or will he be passed over entirely?
